Are you passionate about open source technologies? Do you like figuring out the best way to give old hardware new life? Do you take pride in learning new things, and helping people solve real-world problems with open source and Linux-based technologies? Freelock Computing may be looking for you!
Freelock Computing is looking for talented Linux system administrators to add to our team. You must be comfortable configuring and administering Apache, MySQL, Postgres, BIND, Postfix, and Samba, in addition to being familiar with Red Hat and Debian maintenance and system conventions. You must also be comfortable working with multiple projects at the same time, being part of a team, and working for a small company.
We are looking for smart people who can solve problems as they arise, and who like the challenges of taking horribly wrong configurations and making them models for best practices. Our system administrators keep dozens of servers up to date for us and our clients, not just the basic systems but also hundreds of custom web applications. We encourage discovering new, better ways of doing things. We also provide system consulting for new customers, evaluating the security and recoverability of their environments, prioritizing projects, and implementing better solutions.
We are devoted to helping our clients make effective use of open source software, and be more competitive in the marketplace. We offer health benefits and very flexible working conditions with a mix of office, client site, and remote work.
If you like to learn something new every day, and help businesses deal with the challenges of growth, send us your resume!
